From the Executive Director, Roger Domingo
Resilience, growth, and adaptability. These words encapsulate PYDA’s journey during the past year. As I reflect on my f irst year as Executive Director, I am immensely proud of the entire PYDA community – our staff, students, board, and partners – for how we came together to navigate a period of significant transition and achievement. I officially joined PYDA on 1 June 2023, at a critical time for the organisation. The initial months were focused on stabilising the leadership transition, strengthening our organisational culture, and laying the groundwork for future growth. This period of reflection allowed us to refine our strategy and ensure that PYDA remained focused on delivering impact in youth development, particularly in a rapidly evolving socio-economic landscape. During this time, we faced several challenges, 2023 Graduation 12 PYDA Annual Report 2023 including the inevitable uncertainties that accompany leadership changes. Staff morale was understandably impacted, and there were operational hurdles to overcome. However, through open communication, team-building efforts, and a shared commitment to our mission, we successfully stabilised the organisation. This resilience was key to ensuring that we continued to deliver impactful programmes for our students.
